How many to go?

Now that the season is over, the cleanout begins. So far the Sixers have dumped Eddie Jordan (which probably should’ve been done earlier) and the Clippers have relieved Kim Hughes (no real surprise there either). Dumars says Kuester is safe, the others that could be on the move are Jeff Bower of the Hornets, the Hawks have left Woodson hanging, strangely not offering any word of an extension even though his team just gets better and better and I’m sure there’s probably a few other names that will get tossed around in the coming month or so (Doc?).

Let’s shock the world!

It’s all over, the regular season is now done and dusted.
Stoked the Bulls beat the Raptors for the final spot, Noah is the man, Hedo sucks! Bring on the playoffs!

Three cheers for modern internetting!

I have been planning on starting this blog for over six months now, in that time I have been taking notes, collecting links and all sorts of things that I plan on posting at some stage. Now that I have finally entered the modern internet realm and watching online videos is no longer a painful exercise in patience I decided to finally kick this into gear.

Originally I had the idea of making this strictly a basketball related blog focusing on the late 80’s to mid 90’s, back then it seemed that everyone in school was completely consumed by it, lives revolved around it and the NBA’s popularity was peaking thanks to a certain someone. However I think the NBA is in as good a shape currently as it has been in a long time (maybe not quite financially, hello GFC), the amount of exciting young players running around is ridiculous, there is probably more than a handful of legitimate title contenders (opposed to the 2-3 horse races of the last couple of years), a bunch of new faces in the playoffs and a bunch more knocking on the door. It’s an exciting time. So in saying that, I’m also gonna be posting a lot of current stuff as well as all the old favourites, the timing kinda sucks though seen as the regular season is just about to end, oh well.

On top of all the ball content I might squeeze in some music content (some old interviews I never used, records, videos, d/loads etc.), bike stuff, random photos, mail days and anything else I think is dope. Hopefully I keep it going longer than the last one (here) and at least three people will be interested.

So to the three of you out there, stay tuned for lots of shit that was dope, shit that is dope and shit that will be dope!
